The environmental impacts resulting from anthropic actions are directly responsible for the spread of cities, with their social, economic and political interconnections. Socioeconomic growth gives rise to the demand for road construction, which makes it possible to transport goods and people. The theme of environmental impacts generated by the construction and/or implementation of highways in Brazil is extensive and studied, both internally and externally, and generates an improvement, both in science and in the behavior of actors, by seeking to minimize these impacts. This work aims to demonstrate and analyze the results of environmental reports from the following programs: a) Vegetation Suppression and Flora Rescue; b) Wild Fauna Scaring and Rescue; c) Execution of the Monitoring Program for Water Bodies produced between 2016 and 2019 and carried out within the scope of the execution of environmental management services for the construction and paving works of the BR-242/TO highway. In the methodological path, we will use the reports produced that accompanied the activities developed in the field, regarding the suppression of vegetation and rescue of flora, driving away and saving wild fauna and the monitoring of water bodies, during the paving of the BR-242, in the State of Tocantins. The analysis of these materials will allow us to observe how these processes of environmental mitigation took place, assuming that every landscape that receives roads is associated with the occurrence of negative impacts on biotic integrity, both in terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems. Concluding the importance of environmental management in the implementation of the BR-242/TO Highway is explained in this study, when we demonstrate the implementation of environmental programs to minimize negative impacts and maximize positive impacts on the environment. The set of these reports made it possible that, before, during and after the work, significant environmental impacts to the environment of Tocantins were reduced, resulting in environmental sustainability in the work process and gains for the environment and the community in which the BR-242/TO was built.Item Biossegurança e gerenciamento de resíduos em laboratório de patologia clínica veterinária(Universidade Brasil, 2020) Latorre, Renata Ribeiro; Frias, Danila Fernanda RodriguesBiosafety is a set of measures directed to preventing, minimizing or eliminating risks inherent in activities that can compromise the health of humans, animals and environment. This study aimed to evaluate the application of biosafety and waste management standards in a Veterinary Clinical Pathology Laboratory. The methodology used was exploratory and descriptive. They observed the spaces, the movement of people, equipment and materials, highlighting the critical points found. They also observed there are risks in all activities developed in the sector. They were detected faults in personal hygiene (loose hair), handling inadequate biological material and chemical agents without personal protective equipment (PPE), risk of accidents, inadequate clothing, ergonomic risks, excessive noise, insufficient lighting and incorrect disposal of contaminated products. They concluded that, during the activities, the evaluated laboratory presented a series of risks to safety standards and good practices in the analysis laboratory. In order to resolve or minimize this problem, initiatives are necessary such as training students and collaborators, implementing good lab practices and a waste management plan, directed to the control and or solution of all factors unfavorable to the conduct of activities. These actions can contribute to the quality and responsibility of the results, guarantee, safety and health of all professionals in the service and the environment.Item Calçadas permeáveis como alternativa para minimizar os problemas das enchentes na cidade de São Bernardo do Campo, São Paulo(Universidade Brasil, 2020) Torrano, Rosana; Frias, Danila Fernanda RodriguesLarge urban centers have been suffering over the years with flooding problems due to the rampant urbanization accompanied by inadequate infrastructure and consequent soil impermeability. The objective of this study was to evaluate the actions carried out in the city of São Bernardo do Campo to prevent the occurrence of floods with a view to minimizing the impact on the population and the environment. A bibliographic study of related research in different municipalities similar to this work, and data survey was conducted on urban legislation, works and strategic planning, the municipal code, estimate of the population and water-source conservation areas and the existing drainage measures. Based on the results, an amendment to article 79 of the municipal code was proposed for the use of permeable floors to be mandatory. About 98.3% of the population of the municipality resides in urban areas and 1.7% in rural areas, with 25.7% living in of water-source protection and recovery areas of and 16.7% in areas at risk of natural disasters. In the months of November to March, there is an increase in precipitation rates, with the occurrence of floods and landslides concentrating in this period. The municipal code does not provide for the use of permeable sidewalks. With the conclusion of this research, it was shown that the city of São Bernardo do Campo has recurrent flooding problems due to the high rate of urbanization and occupation of watersource conservation areas. However, as a way to minimize floods, the municipality acts on macro- and micro-drainage works, without the use of permeable sidewalks. The approval of the regulation for the mandatory use of these sidewalks will bring advantages to the municipality in terms of coping with floods, providing benefits to public coffers, the population and the environment.Item Caracterização do sistema de manutenção da arborização urbana em Caraguatatuba - SP = system analysis of urban afforestation maintenance in Caraguatatuba - SP(Universidade Brasil, 2018) Pinheiro, Camila Vicentini; Andreani Junior, RobertoItem Caracterização microbiológica em ambiente específico de uma biblioteca universitária.(Universidade Brasil, 2017) Portela, Patrícia de Oliveira; Kozusny-Andreani, Dora InésItem Caracterização temporal e espacial dos alagamentos do município de São Paulo(Universidade Brasil, 2020) Silva, Diessica Talissa Burdo Timoteo da; Vanzela, Luiz SergioWith the simultaneous population growth and urban expansion, natural and rural areas were occupied by the urban environment, with several problems arising from the interaction of the city with the environment, especially natural disasters. Among the natural disasters, flooding is one of the most common causes of environmental, economic and social impacts. Therefore, the objective of this work was to carry out the spatial and temporal characterization of flooding in the municipality of São Paulo - SP, during 2018, and to identify the factors of susceptibility of watersheds to flooding. For this, the study methodology was developed in three ways: (a) evaluation of the temporal distribution of the floodings, (b) evaluation of the spatial distribution of the floodings and (c) identification of physical and physiographic characteristics related to the highest occurrence of flooding. The temporal distribution was evaluated by the analysis of the relative frequency distribution of the occurrence of flooding throughout the year and the spatial distribution was carried out from the absolute number of floodings per subprefecture and water course in the municipality of São Paulo. A total of 264 floodings were observed, the highest occurrence in the period of greatest rainfall, comprising the months of January to March and November to December and the subprefectures of the Se, Lapa, Pinheiros and Santo Amaro. It was concluded that watersheds subject to monthly rainfall above 100 mm, with a compacity coefficient above 1.70, this index does not apply to flooding as it can be applied to floods, because it is essential that each factor is not evaluated individually but in a set that associated will influence the susceptibility of each basin, total geometric gradient above 160 m and average normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) below 0.20, have high susceptibility to flooding.Item Certificações de qualidade em usinas de cana-de-açúcar = quality certifications in sugar cane mills(Universidade Brasil, 2018) Ferracini, Maria José Floriano; Vazquez, Gisele HerbstItem Comunicação municipal em Ribeirão Preto-SP: a “conversa” entre o poder público e a população para um ambiente sustentável = municipal communication in Ribeirão Preto, SP: the "conversation" between the public power and the population for a sustainable environment(Universidade Brasil, 2019) Gonçalves, Amanda Martins Ferreira; Lima, Leonice Domingos dos Santos CintraItem Concentração e viabilidade das bactérias ácido láticas presentes em leites fermentados = concentration and viability of lactic acid bacteria present in fermented milk(Universidade Brasil, 2016) Déo, Elisandra de Mello; kozusny-Andreani, Dora InésItem Correlação entre neoplasias de pele e irradiância solar no Estado de São Paulo = correlation between skin neoplasms and solar irradiance in the State of São Paulo(Universidade Brasil, 2019) Berceline, Telma Cristina; Vanzela, Luiz SérgioItem Correlação entre os fatores ambientais e a incidência de dengue no município de Fernandópolis - SP = correlation between environmental factors and the incidence of dengue in Fernandópolis city - SP(Universidade Camilo Castelo Branco, 2013) Lima, Claudia Lucia de; Vanzela, Luiz SergioItem Densidade e distribuição de bactérias indicadoras de contaminação fecal em areia de praias de Caraguatatuba - SP = density and indicator of contamination with feces bacterias distributed in the sands of the beachesin Caraguatatuba - SP(Universidade Brasil, 2016) Borges, Sarah Diana Guedes Garcia de Carvalho; Kozusny-Andreani, Dora InésItem Desafios e propostas para construção de práticas curriculares na educação ambiental em escola pública municipal de Caraguatatuba/SP = challenges and proposals for practices curriculum construction in environmental education in public school at Caraguatatuba/SP(Universidade Brasil, 2016) Silva, Thais Daniela Cruzal da; Aguiar, Denise Regina da CostaItem Ecoturismo em ilha solteira: uma proposta de sistematização inicial = ecotourism in Ilha Solteira: a proposal for initial systematization(Universidade Brasil, 2019) Ferreira, Luciana Sanches
