The trial was installed in a completely randomized design, in a 3x3 factorial analysis scheme analyzed as repeated measures over time, with 5 replicates per treatment (12 birds per box). Factor (A) consisted of 3 treatments (T1. Without addition of CoQ10 in the diet; T2. Diet with addition of 100 mg CoQ10.kg-1 MS; T3. Diet with addition of 200 mg CoQ10.kg-1 MS). Factor (B), for three experimental periods (C1. From 1 to 28 days of supplementation; C2. From 29 to 56 days of supplementation; and C3. From 57 to 86 days of supplementation). Feed intake, laying rate, average egg weight and feed conversion were evaluated. There was no interaction between the doses of CoQ10 and the production cycles, and only the weight of the egg was not significant for the dose factor of CoQ10. Feed intake increased linearly, the laying rate and feed conversion showed a quadratic response with a maximum point at 87.43 mg CoQ10 kg-1 and 100.17 mg CoQ10 kg 1, respectively. The productive cycle factor showed a quadratic response with the maximum point of feed consumption after 53 days of experimentation, the laying rate decreased with the course of the experiment and the reverse occurred with egg weight and feed conversion. The inclusion of 100 mg CoQ10 kg-1 MS in the diet for Japanese quails, in the initial phase, increases the laying rate, which results in a better feed conversion which may indicate a possible action on reproductive physiological processes. The inclusion of 200 mg CoQ10 kg-1 DM of feed does not bring productive benefits and, due to the reduction in feed consumption, may represent the upper limit of inclusion of CoQ10 in the bird's diet.Item Colesterol Sérico em equinos suplementados com cromo orgânico e submetidos ao exercício(Universidade Brasil, 2016) Borim, Ulisses Sebastião Bruzeghin; Melo, Wanderley José de; Melo, Gabriel Mauricio Peruca deItem Desempenho de novilhos Nelore suplementados com cromo orgânico injetável(Universidade Brasil, 2021) Carli, Carlos Henrique Andrade de; Melo, Gabriel Maurício Peruca de; Melo, Wanderley José deMinerals play a fundamental role in several reactions in animal metabolism, acting in the most different organic systems with a diversity of functions and directly influencing bovine performance. In this sense, the use of organic minerals in ruminant feed has provided positive responses in production, as is the case of organic chromium (Cr). The objective of the study was to evaluate the physiological performance of Nelore yearling steers when supplemented with injectable organic chromium, as a viable source for nutrition and development of yearling steers intended for beef production. The experiment was conducted in an entirely randomized design, with three treatments (T1 - control, no organic chrome supplementation; T2 - organic chrome supplementation, 5 mL/animal applied at 14 day intervals and T3 - organic chrome supplementation, 5 mL/animal applied at 28 day intervals), 10 repetitions over a 56 day experimental period. Organic chromium supplementation improved the weight performance of yearling steers (21.90% higher). This better performance can be explained by changes in the metabolic profile of supplemented animals, and it can be concluded that organic chromium supplementation in Nelore male cattle recently weaned allows additional weight gain without compromising the metabolic profile of glucose in these animals.Item Influência de fontes de vanádio na fermentação ruminal in vitro(Universidade Brasil, 2020) Amancio, Weberson Donizeth de Castro; Melo, Wanderley José de; Melo, Gabriel Mauricio Peruca deItem Pesquisa, desenvolvimento e inovação em produção animal: geração de patentes(Universidade Brasil, 2020) Francisco, Luiz Carlos Vick; Melo, Wanderley José de; Melo, Gabriel Maurício Peruca deItem Produção de mel na região amazônica: viabilidade da produção em melgueiras de sete, oito, nove e dez quadros(Universidade Brasil, 2023) Silva, Welton Santos; Melo, Wanderley José de; Melo, Gabriel Maurício Peruca de; RodriguesThe present work aimed to analyze the production of honey with variation of Langstroth type supers, using seven, eight, nine and ten frames, as well as the economic viability. The bee production has stood out in the Amazon region, where the culture has become a great attraction for family farming in the southern region of Rondônia state. Discussions about the importance of adapting beekeeping techniques to local production have become the subject of debates and studies, and from the quest to improve production in terms of quality and profitability. The proposal for this experiment is to adapt Langstroth hives to the local reality emerged. The project was developed in the Farm located on Highway 435, km 24, number 35, Agrovillage Renascer, rural area of Vilhena, State of Rondônia, Basil. The experiment was implanted in the apiaries located in the place. At the end of the research, it was possible to conclude that the model that most resembles the ten-frame beehive is the eight-frame hive, which is a possible and profitable replacement, if carried out according to the measurements of the standard developed by Lorenzo Lorraine Langstroth in 1851. However, there is a need for adjustments in the measurements of the frames, as this will reduce the cost of the material to be used and the total weight of the supers, which facilitates transport and the necessary care in handling.Item SISGALE – Sistema de Gerenciamento Agrícola do Lodo de Esgoto = SISGALE – Sewage Sludge Management System(Universidade Brasil, 2016) Rizzatto, Fernando Kendy Aoki; Melo, Wanderley José de; Melo, Gabriel Maurício Peruca deItem Uso parenteral de cromo orgânico em bezerras da raça holandesa(Universidade Brasil, 2022) Silva, Cairon Rony Bezerra da; Melo, Gabriel Maurício Peruca de; Melo, Wanderley José deThis study aimed to evaluate the effects of different doses of parenteral organic chromium in 24 Holstein heifers. The experiment was carried out in a completely randomized design, with 3 treatments (T1. Control - without parenteral chromium supplementation; T2. Parenteral supplementation of organic chromium - 100 mg/animal every 28 days; T3. Parenteral supplementation of chromium in the organic form - 200 mg per animal applied at intervals of 28 days) and 8 repetitions. The experiment lasted 56 days, with weighing of the experimental animals every 28 days. The parameters of daily weight gain and total weight gain were evaluated. Chromium supplementation promoted an improvement in the weight performance of the heifers, with an average daily weight gain of approximately 30% higher than in the control group, regardless of the evaluated dose. It was concluded that organic chromium, independent of a supplementary way, for heifers of the breed allows additional weight gain.
