Plano de logística sustentável para empresas de transporte
(Universidade Brasil, 2020) Fernandes, Alexandre Chacon; Vanzela, Luiz Sérgio
Due to the importance for companies to pursue ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) practices in order to be more responsible in relation to environmental, social and governance issues and improve their reputation in the market, it is imperative to develop methodologies that facilitate achieving these goals. Therefore, the objective of this work was to develop the Company Sustainability Diagnosis System (DISE System) and apply it to assist a transport company in Fernandópolis - SP in the elaboration of their Sustainable Plan for Transport Logistics (SPTL). The methodology used for developing the system of diagnosis and classification of companies was based on the ten principles of the UN Global Compact. The system, which was called the Company Sustainability Diagnosis System or “DISE” System, allows classifying the company's level of sustainability from a scoring system, obtained from surveys about the company. Scores are determined by criteria and calculated by simple equations. After its development, its application was carried out in a transport company based in Fernandópolis - SP, for which it was possible to classify it as "moderate sustainability" and propose an action plan that will compose their Sustainable Plan for Transport Logistics (SPTL), with goals of achieving sustainability in 2026. Based on the results, it was concluded that the DISE System (Company Sustainability Diagnosis System) made it possible to diagnose, in an easy and objective way, a transport company in the municipality of Fernandópolis - SP. As a result, a technical instruction manual for the application of the DISE system was also elaborated for companies in general, assisting them in ESG practices, in improving their reputation in the market and in their pursuit of sustainability.

(Universidade Brasil, 2024) Barbosa, Vinicius Guiraldelli; Tagliaferro, Evandro Roberto; Frias, Danila Fernanda Rodrigues; Lima, Leonice Domingos dos Santos Cintra
The Circular Economy (CE) is characterized by a concept that aims to transform the way society produces and consumes, trying to promote socioeconomic and environmental sustainability. Analyze its role as a mitigator of the negative impacts of climate change, through the investigation of possible reductions in greenhouse gas emissions, when transitioning from the Linear Economy (EL), as well as analyzing its influence on human health, considering the reducing exposure to toxic substances and pollutants and identifying synergies between climate change mitigation and health promotion, in addition to researching and analyzing the challenges and opportunities for implementing a CE, taking into account its positive impacts on society and the environment, which is the main objective of this work. The topic is justified by the need for more in-depth studies that consider the transition from an EL to an EC, whose facing the socioeconomic and environmental challenges of the 21st century is essential. This is a bibliographical research, based on the main theorists on the topic, using books, scientific articles and other technical, academic and scientific works available in virtual libraries: SciELO, Google Scholar, considering publications from the last 10 years, covering this period between the years 2013 to 2023, using the keyword Circular Economy to refine the search and to indicate the adoption of CE as a socioeconomic and environmental instrument, presenting positive contributions of great significance. The results show that the CE concept emerges as a powerful socioeconomic and environmental instrument, capable of contributing to the promotion of more sustainable and equitable development.

A logística reversa do plástico pós-consumo e seu impacto no ambiente
(Universidade Brasil, 2020) Mendoza, Jacqueline Paola Ortiz; Tagliaferro, Evandro Roberto
The study aimed to present the reverse logistics of post-consumer plastic and its impact on the environment, adopting a qualitative, exploratory and descriptive approach methodology, aiming to point out some of the environmental impacts arising from its inadequate post-consumption disposal and to indicate possible mitigation practices. The research identified impacts such as pollution of rivers, seas and oceans, causing the death of marine species, pollution of soils, decreasing the useful life of landfills and air pollution, when plastic waste is incinerated in places that are not regulated. With the growth of the markets, accompanied by competitiveness and new technologies, the process of industrialization and consumption of plastic also increased and consequently the generation of waste. This evolution has a direct impact on the degradation of the environment, causing innumerable harm, especially given the inappropriate disposal of this waste. Disposing plastic waste in the right place is a challenge for industries. The research started from the following question: How to mitigate the environmental impacts of the inappropriate disposal of post-consumer plastic through reverse logistics? The importance of implementing reverse logistics as a strategic tool in companies is verified, enabling the economy through improvements in their organizational processes for planning and controlling items after consumption, with the objective of mitigating the environmental impacts caused by the incorrect disposal of waste and reuse these discarded materials, avoiding irregular deposits.
