The presence of hyposegmented neutrophils and neutrophils with toxic granulations was verified on the blood count, after abdominal ultrasound, many gases and a possible gastric dilation with volvo (VgD) were observed which was proven by X-ray, so the patient was immediately submitted to the surgical procedure, which occurred without complications, remained stable in the postoperative period, with parameters within normal limits for species and age. However, after a few hours, the animal began a neurological picture with vocalization and nystagmus, remaining most of the time in lateral decubitus, with cyanotic mucous membranes and vasculitis of limbs, even having received all the necessary care, such as oxygen therapy, continuous infusion with glucose, supportive fluid therapy, the animal did not resist, dying the day after the surgical procedure. Gastric Ovvulus Dilation is a pathology considered severe, whose chance of survival of the patient is due to the rapid intervention to correct the case.
