This study aimed to evaluate the application of biosafety and waste management standards in a Veterinary Clinical Pathology Laboratory. The methodology used was exploratory and descriptive. They observed the spaces, the movement of people, equipment and materials, highlighting the critical points found. They also observed there are risks in all activities developed in the sector. They were detected faults in personal hygiene (loose hair), handling inadequate biological material and chemical agents without personal protective equipment (PPE), risk of accidents, inadequate clothing, ergonomic risks, excessive noise, insufficient lighting and incorrect disposal of contaminated products. They concluded that, during the activities, the evaluated laboratory presented a series of risks to safety standards and good practices in the analysis laboratory. In order to resolve or minimize this problem, initiatives are necessary such as training students and collaborators, implementing good lab practices and a waste management plan, directed to the control and or solution of all factors unfavorable to the conduct of activities. These actions can contribute to the quality and responsibility of the results, guarantee, safety and health of all professionals in the service and the environment.Item Calçadas permeáveis como alternativa para minimizar os problemas das enchentes na cidade de São Bernardo do Campo, São Paulo(Universidade Brasil, 2020) Torrano, Rosana; Frias, Danila Fernanda RodriguesLarge urban centers have been suffering over the years with flooding problems due to the rampant urbanization accompanied by inadequate infrastructure and consequent soil impermeability. The objective of this study was to evaluate the actions carried out in the city of São Bernardo do Campo to prevent the occurrence of floods with a view to minimizing the impact on the population and the environment. A bibliographic study of related research in different municipalities similar to this work, and data survey was conducted on urban legislation, works and strategic planning, the municipal code, estimate of the population and water-source conservation areas and the existing drainage measures. Based on the results, an amendment to article 79 of the municipal code was proposed for the use of permeable floors to be mandatory. About 98.3% of the population of the municipality resides in urban areas and 1.7% in rural areas, with 25.7% living in of water-source protection and recovery areas of and 16.7% in areas at risk of natural disasters. In the months of November to March, there is an increase in precipitation rates, with the occurrence of floods and landslides concentrating in this period. The municipal code does not provide for the use of permeable sidewalks. With the conclusion of this research, it was shown that the city of São Bernardo do Campo has recurrent flooding problems due to the high rate of urbanization and occupation of watersource conservation areas. However, as a way to minimize floods, the municipality acts on macro- and micro-drainage works, without the use of permeable sidewalks. The approval of the regulation for the mandatory use of these sidewalks will bring advantages to the municipality in terms of coping with floods, providing benefits to public coffers, the population and the environment. Analyze its role as a mitigator of the negative impacts of climate change, through the investigation of possible reductions in greenhouse gas emissions, when transitioning from the Linear Economy (EL), as well as analyzing its influence on human health, considering the reducing exposure to toxic substances and pollutants and identifying synergies between climate change mitigation and health promotion, in addition to researching and analyzing the challenges and opportunities for implementing a CE, taking into account its positive impacts on society and the environment, which is the main objective of this work. The topic is justified by the need for more in-depth studies that consider the transition from an EL to an EC, whose facing the socioeconomic and environmental challenges of the 21st century is essential. This is a bibliographical research, based on the main theorists on the topic, using books, scientific articles and other technical, academic and scientific works available in virtual libraries: SciELO, Google Scholar, considering publications from the last 10 years, covering this period between the years 2013 to 2023, using the keyword Circular Economy to refine the search and to indicate the adoption of CE as a socioeconomic and environmental instrument, presenting positive contributions of great significance. The results show that the CE concept emerges as a powerful socioeconomic and environmental instrument, capable of contributing to the promotion of more sustainable and equitable development.Item Efeitos da fotobiomodulação e terapia fotodinâmica na cicatrização de feridas cirúrgicas em suínos(Universidade Brasil) Beloti, Larissa de Jesus; Núñez, Silvia Cristina; Frias, Danila Fernanda RodriguesItem Epidemiologia da tuberculose bovina na América do Sul(Universidade Brasil, 2021) Garcia, Murilo da Silva; Frias, Danila Fernanda RodriguesItem Epidemiologia dos casos de hanseníase notificados no município de Guaraí, Tocantins, de 2008 a 2018(Universidade Brasil, 2020) Dias, Adriana Keila; Frias, Danila Fernanda RodriguesLeprosy is an infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium leprae and is endemic in Brazil and hyperendemic in the state of Tocantins. In this sense, this study aimed to analyze the epidemiological data of leprosy available in the public domain between the years 2008 to 2018 in the municipality of Guaraí, Tocantins. This is a crosssectional, descriptive, retrospective and quantitative study based on secondary data, collected from the information in TABNET / DATASUS. Between 2008 and 2018, 328 cases of leprosy were recorded in the municipality of Guaraí, with a general hyperendemic detection coefficient in 2008, 2009 and 2012, very high in 2010 and 2013, high in 2011, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017. The distribution by age group was 35 - 49 years old with 96 (29%) cases, followed by 20 - 30 with 78 (24%) cases, and 50-64 also with 78 (24%) cases. Grade II (Multibacillary) was reported in 125 cases, Grade I (Multibacillary) was reported 31 cases, and Grade I (Paucibacillary) 76 cases, while Grade 0 was reported 96 cases. Only 04 (1.2%) had relapses, and the number of communicants was 328 positive cases had home and social contacts recorded in the records, of these 80.5% of cases had all communicants evaluated. Given the above, the need for measures that reveal the epidemiological reality of leprosy in Guaraí is reinforced, raising aspects that may contribute to prevention, diagnosis and early treatment, in order to reduce the morbidity and physical disabilities resulting from the disease.Item Estratégia para destinação de resíduos sólidos recicláveis em universidades brasileiras.(Universidade Brasil, 2017) Eustáquio, Eloainy Alves; Souza, Vanessa Felipe de; Frias, Danila Fernanda RodriguesItem Gerenciamento de resíduos de serviços de saúde: estudo de caso em um hospital universitário = management of the health service waste: case study in a university hospital(Universidade Brasil, 2019) Barros, Vera Lúcia Siqueira de; Frias, Danila Fernanda RodriguesItem Gerenciamento e destinação de fármacos: investigação sobre a conduta de tutores de animais no âmbito de um hospital veterinário =management and destination of medicines: investigation about the behavior of animal guardians in a veterinary hospital environment(Universidade Brasil, 2019) Carvalho, Paula Fernanda Gubulin; Souza, Vanessa Felipe de; Frias, Danila Fernanda RodriguesItem Identificação e caracterização fenotípica dos grupos genéticos da raça Girolando nos rebanhos leiteiros do estado de Roraima(Universidade Brasil, 2017) Salgado, Léo Fernando de Faria; Frias, Danila Fernanda RodriguesThe dairy cattle in the State of Roraima is supported by crossbred Holstein x Gir cattle, more adapted to the tropical climate and traditional production systems. However, there is a need to adapt the genetic groups to the production systems and to raise awareness about the importance of the use of phenotypic visual evaluations as a tool to assist in the selection of animals. The objectives of the research were to identify the frequency and characterize the phenotype of the genetic groups ¼ Hol + ¾ Gir, ⅜ Hol + ⅝ Gir, ½ Hol + ½ Gir, ⅝ Hol + ⅜ Gir, ¾ Hol + ¼ Gir and ⅞ Hol + ⅛ Gir of the Girolando breed in the herds of the State of Roraima. The data were obtained from visual morphological evaluations to identify the genetic groups and to characterize the phenotype of the animals from August 2016 to February 2017. The following distribution of the frequency of genetic groups: 210 (21.26%) of the group ¼ Hol + ¾ Gir; 145 (14.68%) of the group ⅜ Hol + ⅝ Gir; 249 (25.20%) of the ½ Hol + ½ Gir; 166 (16.80%) of the group ⅝ Hol ⅜ + Gir; 126 (12.75%) of the ¾ Hol + ¼ Gir and 92 (9.3%) of the group ⅞ Hol + ⅛ Gir. In the phenotypic evaluations there were statistically significant differences (p <0.05) in the genetic group ¾ Hol + ¼ Gir for General Appearance (GA), in the genetic groups ⅝ Hol + ⅜ Gir and ⅞ Hol + ⅛ Gir for Body Capacity (CC), in the ½ Hol + ½ Gir group for Dairy Characteristics (CL) and in the groups ¾ Hol + ¼ Gir and ⅞ Hol + ⅛ Gir for Reproductive and Apparatus e aprumos (AR/A). The genetic group ½ Hol + ½ Gir presented superior characteristics in the Body Capacity (CC), the Milk Characteristics (CL) and the Reproductive and Apparatus e aprumos (AR/A), being better classified as to the type of Girolando breed demonstrating better characterization and uniformity by selective process.Item Nível de conhecimento da população de Santa Rita do Araguaia, GO, sobre o descarte de medicamentos e o impacto ambiental produzido = level of knowledge of the population of Santa Rita do Araguaia about the disposal of medicines and the environmental impact produced(Universidade Brasil, 2019) Linhares, Euvani Oliveira Sobrinho; Souza, Vanessa Felipe de; Frias, Danila Fernanda RodriguesItem Normas para elaboração de trabalhos de conclusão de curso de graduação: pesquisa experimental(Universidade Brasil, 2022) Américo-Pinheiro, Juliana Heloisa Pinê; Magalhães, Daniel Souza Ferreira; Frias, Danila Fernanda Rodrigues; Kozusny-Andreani, Dora Inés; Brennecke, Käthery; Almeida, Vilson Rosa de; Zonta, Marco AntonioItem Normas para elaboração de trabalhos de conclusão de curso de graduação: relato de caso(Universidade Brasil, 2022) Américo-Pinheiro, Juliana Heloisa Pinê; Magalhães, Daniel Souza Ferreira; Frias, Danila Fernanda Rodrigues; Kozusny-Andreani, Dora Inés; Almeida, Vilson Rosa de; Zonta, Marco Antonio
