The definitive diagnosis for the disease is made with immunofluorescence techniques in serology tests, although the most used is the association of blood count results with thrombocytopenia and anemia with clinical symptoms. The treatment of choice is antibiotic therapy, doxycycline every 12 hours, orally, today, for 25 to 28 days, associated with supportive therapy.
