Resumo
Fistula, fissure or also called anal furunculosis, is a chronic pathology of inflammatory
purulent character of the perianal gland, resulting in discomfort, painful abscess and
weakness of the animals. The discomfort generated by this disease is often only
referred to by the owner when he observes the animal by dragging the butt on the
floor; Biting the base of the tail; Dyskinesia (painful and difficult defecation); Licking
the anal region often or when the animal cries and this becomes a discomfort in daily
living. Due to the concern with the welfare and health of these animals, the present
study reports two cases of clinical care in German Shepherd dogs, with different
indoles and whose treatment also differed in the result. Therefore, the need for
intensive care by the owners does not exclude the high incidence of future
complications, thus making the prognosis reserved in some cases.
