Abstract

Livestock farming plays an essential role in the production of animal protein but faces health challenges that compromise the health of livestock and the economy. Foot-and-mouth disease, a contagious viral disease, is one of the main risks, impacting cattle, pigs, sheep and goats. Its prevention and maintenance of health status are essential to avoid economic and social losses and guarantee the international trade of animal products. The project proposed the development of an application that works both online and offline to optimize the recording of visits by the Risk-Based Surveillance Program (RBP) in the prevention of Foot and-Mouth Disease in Rondônia. RBP is an important initiative that aims to increase surveillance based on notifications and prevention and the monitoring of risk factors on rural properties. Currently, IDARON technicians use an application that has limitations in terms of quality, efficiency and data integration, compromising the effectiveness of RBP and, consequently, the prevention of Foot-and-Mouth Disease. The application developed was built in an integrated manner with IDARON's computerized system (SisIdaron) and synchronizes the registration data of properties, producers and PVBR activities, providing greater robustness and efficiency to the process. In addition, it incorporates all the business rules necessary to minimize errors, duplications and inconsistencies, improving accuracy, eliminating rework and contributing to the improvement of management and supervision of visits.
