Abstract

This work presents the development of a digital environmental newsletter entitled Vida Verde, aimed at the academic community of Universidade Brasil – Fernandópolis Campus. The main objective was to propose an institutional communication tool focused on promoting critical and participatory environmental education, aligned with the principles of sustainability and socio-environmental responsibility. The methodology adopted was qualitative research, including a bibliographic review on environmental education, public interest communication, and environmental journalism, complemented by the practical creation of a graphic prototype of the newsletter. Structured as a quarterly digital newspaper, the publication includes fixed sections such as editorial, interviews, reports, opinion columns, and sustainable tips, integrating accessible content, clear formal language, and institutional visual identity. The name Vida Verde was chosen for its connection with the institutional publication Vida and its symbolic, stylistic, and phonetic appeal. The project foresees the potential for replication in other institutions and includes marketing and financial sustainability strategies, such as partnerships and ethical advertising. The newsletter is thus established as a tool for awareness and civic formation, contributing to the strengthening of a critical environmental culture within the university environment.
