Abstract
With the increasing demands for animal welfare, biosecurity, and transparency, it has become essential to ensure the origin, health, and integrity of horses throughout the production chain. The Brazilian equine industry, responsible for generating over R$30 billion annually and creating millions of jobs, requires technological solutions that guarantee efficient and secure sanitary traceability. In this context, the present work aimed to develop HorseTrack, a management application with RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology, focused on individual traceability and sanitary control of horses. The proposal seeks to modernize management practices through the electronic identification of animals and the detailed recording of zootechnical, sanitary, reproductive, and logistical events. The adopted methodology involved defining the programming languages (PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap), building a relational database in MySQL, and developing an intuitive, responsive interface compatible with different devices. The platform allows for the complete registration of properties and animals, including information such as RFID code, genealogy, photos, health status, and commercial data. Events such as vaccinations, exams, treatments, diseases, and movements are recorded in an organized and secure manner, with different access levels to ensure data integrity and flexibility in management. Functionality and usability tests demonstrated the system’s robustness and efficiency. RFID technology enables fast and accurate reading, reducing human error, optimizing operations, and ensuring compliance with sanitary and market requirements. The use of HorseTrack proved to be feasible and highly relevant for the sector, offering a free, easy-to-use solution with great potential to enhance the competitiveness and sustainability of both national and international equine industries.
