Abstract

This study presents the proposal for a mobile application dedicated to the georeferencing of toxic plants, aiming to meet a crucial demand of the Brazilian livestock sector. Given the vital role of livestock in the national economy, it is essential to address the challenges posed by the presence of toxic plants in pastures, which can cause severe poisoning and economically impact producers. The research included a comprehensive literature review and the collection of technical data, resulting in the cataloging of the main toxic species, along with their characteristics, images, and active principles. The developed application offers two main functionalities: a database with detailed information on toxic plants and an interactive tool for recording and monitoring occurrences with georeferencing. Through features such as map visualization and occurrence registration, the tool aims to promote efficient risk area management and facilitate the exchange of information among rural producers, contributing to more sustainable management practices. The application development process was divided into four phases: technical content production, development, validation, and platform implementation. This technological solution not only supports the identification and monitoring of toxic plants but also focuses on environmental awareness by mapping the distribution of these species, promoting biodiversity preservation. A registration certificate was obtained for the developed computer program from the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI), as detailed in Annex A
