Educação ambiental crítica e o problema da camada de ozônio: enfoque interdisciplinar mediante planos de aula para o ensino médio

Abstract

The ozone layer, composed of ozone (O3), a gas that filters ultraviolet rays emitted by the Sun, is characterized by being extremely important for life on Earth. The existence of the ozone layer helps maintain life on Earth, as it filters around 95% of the Sun's ultraviolet rays, preventing most of this radiation from reaching the Earth's surface, causing harm such as genetic changes, increased incidence of skin cancer, growth in cases of cataracts, damage to plant photosynthesis, among other relevant damages. It turns out that the ozone layer has been damaged by the action of man, who releases chemical compounds that destroy ozone, such as chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), into the atmosphere. The aim of this dissertation is to contribute to the environmental education of public and private high school students by offering their teachers lesson plans through which they will be trained to deal with this problem through critical environmental education and interdisciplinarity. The research has a qualitative focus, following a bibliographical design. As a result, above all, formal, critical, emancipatory, politicized and interdisciplinary lesson plans on the ozone layer and its properties are presented, as well as the dangers of its degradation and some procedures for its conservation.
